INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL, SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL STATUS OF HIGH SCHOOL FINAL STUDENT PREPARING FOR THE UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE EXAM

In this study, it is aimed to examine the effects of Covid-19 Pandemic on psychological, social and educational status high school seniors preparing for university entrance exam. context; 2020-2021 academic year, in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 students from different types who studying in last year exam, line semi-structured questionnaire, data obtained descriptive analysis content (coding, code frequency distribution, creation themes, Calculation mapping relationships between subcodes subcodes) evaluated. Within scope qualitative analysis, effect pandemic process students, a total 422 codes four themes (The distance education - 131 codes, student behavior 10 students' emotions 182 concerns arising 99 code) was created analyzed. While subjects that emphasized most frequently “Lessons becoming inefficient” (25 codes), “Negative motivation” (22 codes) “Uncertainty anxiety” (20 least coded expression “Happiness” (1 code). It has been determined exam are generally negatively affected by pandemic.
